How long does tiesto

Or even if I had to bring coffee to the studio, I would have been happy. As long as I'm involved. You don't make as much money bringing coffee, though. But the money doesn't make you happier. Some people make a lot of money and they're miserable. So you're happy and making a lot of money.

Yes, I'm super happy. I say to my friends, as kind of a joke, that, man, I get invited to these exotic countries, I meet these amazing people, I play at these amazing parties, they put me in these great hotels, and when I leave they give me this bag of money.

I am the luckiest man on Earth. Does it feel real? It definitely feels like a dream. I'm very lucky and privileged to do what I do, and I'm very aware of that. What do you like to indulge in when you spend your money? I love clothes, but I don't really like to spend money on them as much. When I buy Gucci, it has to look Gucci. Like this new style they have, this jacket has a butterfly and tigers in the back.

It was to be worth it. I like to spend when it's worth it but not just to spend it. In a interview with SPIN , you said you weren't thinking about retiring because this career still felt like a challenge.

Does it still feel like one in ? Yeah, actually now maybe more than ever before. There are more DJs in the world than there are pilots, I think [ laughs ]. I remember when I was a kid, everyone wanted to be a jet fighter pilot. Now everyone wants to be a DJ. It's more challenging because there's so much competition. Is it good or bad for the industry that there are so many DJs now? I always dreamed to be a famous DJ in Holland. And now it's worldwide.

You can't imagine. I mean, I still can't believe it myself that everything has gone so well. I can honestly say that the fans inspire. There's an unexplainable rush that comes when I'm in the middle of a set and the energy from the fans hit me. I also get really inspired through collaborations. I've learned so much from the emerging producers I've worked with just as they've learned from me.

My favorite all-time artist I would say, I think that must be Sigur Ros, I love that band. It's like going to the stars for me. When I put the music from Jonsi or Sigur Ros on, it's so relaxing, it's warm and it never gets boring to listen to, you always hear new things. Yeah, that must be my favorite band. I think it would be different to work with a guy like Kanye West or Jay-Z, those guys are so phenomenal, but just to work with a rapper, I don't think is really my thing.

I really like songs, like true songs. Like indie songs. Sigur Ros make beautiful music. Bloc Party are fantastic and exciting and innovative. I spend a lot of time talking to young and emerging producers on Twitter, feeding back thoughts and encouraging them. I think one of the greatest gigs I played, and we've had many, but to play the opening ceremony at - at the Olympic games in Athens was pretty special, you know? Because it's such a big deal for the whole world.

And the whole world's watching. So that was definitely one of the special ones. I love to produce a track and then play it for the crowd; that's the biggest kick for me! Miami is a really special place for me, particularly in the U. It was one of the first places in the country to really embrace dance music, and I've been going there for many, many years. At first, I was only interested in music, but I spent so much time in the clubs and seeing fashions change. So naturally, I developed an interest in it.

I love suits, but onstage it's too hot. Like many other electronic producers, his music might not be the kind you'll find yourself sitting down to listen to. His set was absolutely on point, vastly exceeding my expectations. The place had sort of settled down after Seven Lions, and once Prydz turned up it basically turned into the cave scene from The Matrix Reloaded.

If you like any of the following: a great party, deep house, getting some good exercise, or not being a square; then you should definitely check Eric Prydz if he is coming your way. Tiesto is a legend amongst the dance community, getting his huge break when he performed at the opening ceremony for the Olympics. If you're into dance music, then you have to have lived under a massive rock for the past ten years not to have heard of him. For those who are new to, or have no experience with dance music, Tiesto would be a fantastic first to see, as a great deal of modern pop music has taken elements from his music.

As for his set, it was probably one of the best dj sets I've ever seen. Tiesto was actually at the I Hear Radio music festival mere hours before his set and flew from Las Vegas to Denver to make the show.

You couldn't even tell he had just a couple hours to prepare. Also, some lucky fan went home with his headphones.

Unfortunately, it was not me. If you ever have the opportunity to see him, clear your calendar, travel across a state or three , just do whatever you need to do. Go to a Tiesto show at the earliest opportunity. Manufactured Superstars closed out the show. While Tiesto is pretty much an impossible act to follow, they did a great job keeping the party going.

They are much more DJ than producer compared to the other headliners, which means that they played more music that was immediately familiar to the EDM crowd, which kept things fun despite the fact that it was rapidly approaching 3AM. To conclude, if you've never been to an EDM festival, you're missing out.

They're happening everywhere these days, even on cruises! Once you find one that you can go to, look at the lineup and check them out on Soundcloud, Youtube, etc. Then enjoy partying with a couple thousand or couple hundred thousand depending on the festival of your new friends. Read more. Report as inappropriate. Prior to that, I never fully understood why there was so much hype about the World's 1 DJ at the time.

Even though my friends and I had been there for nearly 9 hours dancing and raving, the entire crowd started chanting, "Bring out the King" right before he came onstage and this is when the crowd's energy had truly reached its apex.

I've been to several raves prior to that with but I have never seen a crowd that was so moved and a DJ who was so in tune with the audience. He started his set with the then recently released single 'Red Lights', which is now the first track of his latest album. His music always includes great vocalists, soothing melodies, foot stomping beats and heart-warming lyrics that keep you dancing all night.

Definitely my biggest smile in a photo! He might be forty-plus years old but he still moves the masses of twenty-something crowds. The EDM powerhouse has become the epitome of a commercial success, having managed to break out of EMD-heavy countries including his native Holland, penetrating formerly untapped markets to become a global reference for EDM in the past decade.

Still, that means his shows have only become that much bigger, performing with synth-heavy, beat driven tracks in front of massive crowds all over the world.

His ever-expanding shows project an incomparable aura and energy from crowds heavily under the influence of his music and likely other substances. See below for a list of Tiesto tour dates and locations.
